FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
CAN I CHANGE MY BOOKING DATE?
Yes you can change your booking date at any point up until the scheduled start time for your game. To do so please email firstname.lastname@example.org stating the new date and time you wish to play.
CAN I CANCEL AND GET A REFUND?
If for any reason you wish to cancel, we will offer a full refund up until the scheduled start time for your game. To cancel and obtain a refund, please email email@example.com
IS THERE AN AGE LIMIT?
You must be over 18 years old to make a booking. Participants under the age of 18 are permitted to play but they must be accompanied by an adult over 18 years old.
IS IT SUITABLE FOR KIDS?
Absolutely, all ages can enjoy our games. The level of puzzle-solving is aimed at 13+ however younger children can still enjoy finding the physical clues. Just remember that each game involves approximately 3km of walking. Please note that if you're under 18 you must be accompanied by an adult over 18 years old.
HOW FIT DO I NEED TO BE?
The games are designed for all levels of fitness and can be completed within the time limit at a (brisk) walking pace. Details of the distance each game covers can be found on the each game page. But don't worry, you can also choose to ignore the time limit and enjoy a leisurely stroll; you will still be able to finish the game if you run out of time.
WHAT ARE THE DIFFICULTY LEVELS OF THE GAMES?
The games are designed to be completed within the time limit at a (brisk) walking pace. Puzzle difficulty is very subjective but we recommend the more brains the better! If we had to pick one, we would say the Murder of Hector Reeves is slightly more challenging than The Human Resistance. However, remember you can still finish your game even if you run out of time.
IS IT SUITABLE FOR WHEELCHAIR USERS AND BUGGIES?
All our games follow step-free routes with paved and tarmac paths available throughout.
CAN I REARRANGE FOR ANOTHER DAY?
Absolutely. However, your game link is only valid on the day of your booking. So please email firstname.lastname@example.org with the new date you want to play and we will book you in.
WHAT SHOULD I BRING?
You'll need comfortable shoes for walking, a fully charged smartphone and a thirst for adventure!
DO WE END NEAR THE START POINT?
We wouldn't want to spoil the game but... The start and finish points for the Murder of Hector Reeves are near each other. The Human Resistance begins at Camden Town Underground Station and finishes in easy reach of Chalk Farm Station.
CAN I LEAVE MY BAG ANYWHERE?
Unfortunately there's no bag drop facility. Providing you aren't looking to set a world record time, wearing a backpack is a good alternative. One participant has even wheeled a suitcase around...
WILL MULTIPLE TEAMS FOLLOW EACH OTHER?
Generally not; teams tend to spread out after the first couple of clues as they are solved at different speeds. However, you can always start your teams at 2 minute intervals.
WILL THERE BE SOMEONE AT THE START TO MEET US?
Not unless you are a corporate group who have booked a Gamesmaster Experience. Each public game is designed to be completely self-managed via your smartphone. When you arrive at the start point, just tap the link in your confirmation email to begin your game.
HOW MUCH DATA WILL I USE?
Yes, however you will use less than 10mb per game – the same as listening to 2 or 3 MP3 music tracks!
